Karan Singh Grover captured the hearts of many during his role in the medical drama Dill Mill Gaye. His portrayal of Dr. Armaan was immensely popular among viewers. The on-screen chemistry between him and Dr. Riddhima, portrayed by Shilpa Anand (Ohanna Shivanand), kept audiences engaged. The show reached new heights when Jennifer Winget joined the cast as Dr. Riddhima in 2009. In a recent interview, director Siddharth P Malhotra shared insights into their love story.

In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, director Siddharth P Malhotra reflected on the romance between Karan and Jennifer that blossomed on set. He noted that their portrayal of a couple contributed significantly to their real-life relationship, stating, "Their romance began on set. They were required to perform numerous romantic scenes together, creating a genuine romantic comedy atmosphere."

The director of Maharaj characterized Karan as an exceptionally charming individual capable of captivating anyone. He remarked, "He was, both then and now, an attractive man, a charismatic figure, and naturally, he attracted many women, ultimately falling in love. His feelings were genuine; otherwise, what would have prompted him to marry? They indeed tied the knot."

Nevertheless, Karan and Jennifer eventually separated, leading to the dissolution of their marriage. In 2016, Karan entered into matrimony with Bipasha Basu, with their romance blossoming on the set of Alone. The couple is currently relishing the joys of parenthood, having welcomed their first child, a daughter named Devi, in 2022.

In the same interview, Siddharth disclosed that he continues to receive messages from fans expressing their desire for him to collaborate with Karan Singh Grover on a sequel to Dill Mill Gaye.

Malhotra also addressed Karan's career trajectory following Dill Mill Gaye. He featured in the series Qubool Hai and participated in several films; however, his film career did not flourish as anticipated. When questioned about whether Grover had 'lost his way,' he remarked, "There was a lot happening in his life. With success comes various challenges. I’m not sure if 'lost his way' is the most accurate description, but certainly, things did not unfold as they ideally should have. Had he focused on his stardom during that time, it might have been beneficial. Nevertheless, these are lessons we all encounter in life."
