The stage adaptation of the sequel to the comedy Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon has officially commenced in Mumbai. Under the direction of Kapil Sharma, the production is set to deliver another engaging and tumultuous experience. Venus Worldwide Entertainment is collaborating with Abbas Mustan Film Production to realize this project, which is being produced by Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain, and Anukalp Goswami, with Goswami also directing. Enthusiasts are keenly awaiting the revival of Kapil Sharma's distinctive humour in this comedic journey.

Kapil Sharma reunites with Abbas-Mustan

Kapil collaborates once again with the esteemed duo Abbas-Mustan, who helmed the original film. Their previous collaboration was a comedic triumph, generating considerable anticipation among audiences for their next venture. This time, Manjot Singh has been added to the ensemble. The sequel is anticipated to achieve even greater success, combining seasoned humour with fresh energy.

Sources familiar with the project indicate that in 2024, Pinkvilla reported Kapil's enthusiasm for a comedic comeback with Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, for which he had already secured a contract. Having explored various genres, the actor-comedian is keen to return to a purely comedic format. An insider anticipates that he will commence filming by the end of this year, attributing this to his affection for the script.

Anukalp Goswami takes the director’s chair

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 is set to be directed by Anukalp Goswami, who played a significant role as a writer for the original film, as reported by sources. The director will also take on the responsibilities of screenwriting for this sequel. In addition, Abbas Mustan will act as the creative supervisor for the project, contributing their expertise to the narrative.

The casting procedure for the female lead is currently in progress, involving a variety of female actors, akin to the initial instalment. The producers are actively selecting several actresses to perform alongside Kapil. An insider has revealed that the male character will be at the heart of the conflict in the forthcoming caper film.

The first installment, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, is presently available for streaming on Prime Video.
