Kanye West has been terminated by his talent agent due to his antisemitic comments and contentious merchandise featured on his Yeezy website. Daniel McCartney, an agent at 33&West, conveyed this decision through Instagram, emphasizing that the agency could not support West's "harmful and hateful remarks."

Talent agent cuts ties with Kanye West

Effective immediately, I will no longer serve as the representative for Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) due to his recent hateful and damaging statements, which are contrary to the values upheld by myself and 33&West, McCartney stated, concluding with "Peace and Love to all."

West's situation worsened as he shared numerous antisemitic posts on X (previously Twitter), making declarations such as "I'M A NAZI" and asserting, "I will never apologize for my Jewish comments." Furthermore, a Jewish former employee of Yeezy has initiated a lawsuit against him in California, alleging incidents of workplace harassment.

The former employee, who worked as a marketer at Yeezy, reported experiencing antisemitic comments, including a message that stated, "Welcome to the first day of working for Hitler." She also claimed to have received pornographic content and harassing communications from West.

Yeezy website shut down over controversial merch

Previously, visitors to Yeezy.com encountered a blank screen accompanied by the message, "Something went wrong. This store is unavailable." Shopify, the e-commerce platform hosting Yeezy's website, confirmed that the store had been taken down due to breaches of its policies. In a statement, Shopify remarked, "All merchants are responsible for adhering to the rules of our platform. This merchant did not participate in authentic commerce practices and violated our terms."

The situation intensified when West aired a Super Bowl advertisement in the Los Angeles region promoting Yeezy.com, which featured a $20 white T-shirt adorned with a black swastika as the sole item for sale. The advertisement, recorded on an iPhone, depicted West seated in a dentist's chair, asserting that he had exhausted all his funds on dental procedures and had to produce the ad independently.

X (Twitter) deletes West’s account over content violations

Following a weekend marked by provocative posts, West's account on X was terminated. His last message stated, "I’m logging out of Twitter. I appreciate Elon for allowing me to vent. It has been very cathartic to use the world as a sounding board."

Elon Musk, the owner of X, subsequently confirmed that West's account was deleted due to violations of platform policies. In response to a conservative podcaster advocating for West's suspension, Musk remarked, "Given what he has posted, his account is now classified as NSFW. You should not be seeing that anymore."

This incident is not the first instance of West encountering criticism for his antisemitic remarks. In 2022, he lost several brand partnerships due to similar statements, only to later issue an apology, which he has since retracted.
