Kanye West has ignited significant backlash once more by asserting that he earned $40 million the day following his controversial anti-Semitic statements on X and the promotion of swastika-themed T-shirts on his e-commerce site. In a troubling series of tweets earlier this month, the 47-year-old artist conveyed his admiration for Adolf Hitler, even proclaiming, "I'm a Nazi," before disclosing that he was offering the offensive T-shirts adorned with the Nazi symbol on his Yeezy website.

West claims he made $40 million from Swastika-themed T-shirts

Kanye has asserted that he generated $40 million following his recent outburst, stating on X, “I will articulate this more poetically shortly, as I am currently finalizing my verse for Game's album. The concept of being Jew-proof is that I expressed numerous politically incorrect views, and no one was able to stop, extort, or intimidate me into altering my stance.”

The artist further remarked, “I earned 40 million the following day through my various business ventures. I have many Jewish friends whom I respect and continue to collaborate with. The message I conveyed is that I am no longer under Jewish influence. In conflict, one may incur losses. I experienced the loss of one of my favourite Yeezy designers, Simon, who crafted the Grammy dress. This was a significant setback. We also lost Malcolm, our chief stylist and shopper, who was instrumental in discovering Simon. Perhaps in time, they will comprehend the reasons behind my actions, and eventually, they may forgive my approach.”

West’s site dropped by Shopify

The apparel was swiftly taken down following the deactivation of the rapper's site on the e-commerce platform Shopify, which supports a variety of online businesses. The $20 T-shirts, featuring the enigmatic HH-01 code, were devoid of any description but were identified by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) as a reference to the Nazi salute, “Heil, Hitler,” a phrase linked to Adolf Hitler’s regime.

West also commented on Yeezy’s removal from Shopify via social media, characterizing the action as “a major victory” and stating, “I HATE SHOPIFY AND I ALWAYS HAVE.” In a statement to NBC News, Shopify confirmed the removal of the rapper’s website, asserting, “All merchants are responsible for following the rules of our platform. This merchant did not engage in authentic commerce practices and violated our terms, so we removed them from Shopify.”
