Sanya Malhotra has received considerable acclaim for her role in her recent film, Mrs. Directed by Arati Kadav, the narrative centers on Richa, a trained dancer whose existence becomes confined to domestic responsibilities following her marriage. This film is a Hindi adaptation of the Malayalam feature The Great Indian Kitchen. In a recent interview, Kanwaljit Singh, who portrays Sanya's father-in-law in Mrs, disclosed that he expressed his apologies to Malhotra after viewing the film.

In a discussion with India Today, Kanwaljit Singh expressed that he was profoundly unsettled after viewing Mrs. The seasoned actor reflected on his experience of working on approximately four projects following Mrs., during which he lost track of his character. The sole memory he retained from the filming process was the enjoyment of consuming a considerable amount of food. Nevertheless, his perspective shifted after he watched the movie.

Upon viewing the film, I was profoundly disturbed by the actions of my character, prompting me to seek out Sanya and offer my apologies. Sanya appeared surprised and inquired about the reason for my apology. I explained that I had overlooked the extent to which I had caused her character distress in the film, which left me feeling quite remorseful. She has truly excelled in her role, and witnessing her character's struggles on screen was a heart-wrenching experience for all of us, he conveyed to the news outlet.

For those unfamiliar, Kanwaljit Singh portrays Ashwin Kumar in the film, while Nishant Dahiya plays Sanya, also known as Richa's husband Diwakar. The cast further includes Aparna Ghosal as Meena Kumar, Varun Badola as Tunna Bhaiya, among others.

Sanya Malhotra has conveyed her joy regarding the affection and recognition received for her film, Mrs. The movie achieved over 250 million watch minutes shortly after its release on OTT platforms. In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, she expressed her gratitude, stating, "To everyone who has watched Mrs, felt for Richa, and embraced her journey, thank you from the bottom of my heart (sic)."
