Actor Suriya has gone lengths and breadths to promote his upcoming film Kanguva. With just a couple of days left for the release, Suriya took part in a media meet held in Mumbai on Tuesday. Suriya also opened up about his speculated project with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's mythological film titled Karna.

The Kanguva star has been touring across India and other countries to promote his upcoming period fantasy film Kanguva. During one such events held in Mumbai just a few days before the release of the film, Suriya opened up about Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's mythological film Karna and his involvement.

Suriya confirmed that he did have a meeting with the filmmaker and the talks are on. Suriya also added that Karna is a film that needs more time and preparation, and the process is on, while mentioning that he hopes the film goes on floors soon.

Karna is said to be a mythological film based on the titular character from Hindu epic Mahabharat. Over the course of time in Indian cinema, several noteworthy actors have portrayed the character, which evokes the pathos. More details on the cast and crew of Suriya and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's project are yet to be announced officially.

Suriya shifts to Mumbai

Suriya, who is based out in Chennai with his family, recently shifted to Mumbai, the native of his wife and actor Jyotika. Suriya expressed his happiness over the recent shift and added that he is indeed getting much love from the city, and that his children go to school in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, after Kanguva release, Suriya has two films in the making. While Suriya 44 with Karthik Subbaraj and Suriya 45 with RJ Balaji. While the first project has nearly completed production, the latter is yet to go on floors. A release date for both the films are yet to be announced.
