Kangana Ranaut, who has won the seat in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi during the recently held elections, got slapped. The actress was slapped at Chandigarh airport. A woman officer from the CISF Jawan smacked the actress-politician. Kangana has accused the official of doing so.

Why was Kangana slapped?

The CISF official did not like Kangana Ranaut’s attitude towards Farmer’s protest. In revolt came the slap towards the former Bollywood actress, now politician. Kangana shared the same through a video which she captioned, “Shocking rise in terror and violence in Punjab.”

More details

Kangana was boarding the flight to Delhi from Chandigarh airport at around 3.30 pm IST on Thursday, June 6, which is when the incident took place. She was waiting at the airport lounge when she was violated. Kangana’s team confirmed the same to ABP news.

Kangana, who had promised to give more clarification on reaching Delhi, did mention that she was attacked right after completing her security check. The CISF official was deputed at the lounge where Kangana was headed. This is how she got easy access to slap the actress-politician. Recalling the incident, Kangana claims that the official was waiting for a woman to pass in order to be able to slap Kangana. The actress further claimed that the official started hurling abuses at her. Kangana clarified that the move was owing to the anger and wrath regarding Farmer’s Protest. “I am safe but my concern is how to handle the terrorism and violence in Punjab,” she said before ending the video.

What will happen now?

An inquiry committee consisting of senior CISF officers has been formed to further investigate into the matter.

Kangana Ranaut retired from acting in Bollywood movies to become a politician. She contested elections on behalf of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which won the elections as well with 240 seats. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take an oath for his third consecutive term, and the swearing-in ceremony will take place three days from now, on Sunday, June 9 in Delhi.
