Kangana Ranaut Opens Up About Future Collaborations with Swara Bhasker

Actor Kangana Ranaut has been involved in a protracted dispute with Swara Bhasker for more than five years; however, it appears that she is now prioritizing professionalism. Despite their personal disagreements, Kangana has indicated her willingness to collaborate with Swara once more.

Kangana on working with Swara again

In a discussion with Shubhankar Mishra on his YouTube podcast, Kangana Ranaut addressed her ongoing conflict with Swara Bhasker.

When questioned about her openness to collaborate with individuals who hold differing ideologies, Kangana responded, “Certainly. What kind of question is that? I have collaborated with numerous actors who possess varying beliefs. Even if I may not personally favour someone, I can still work alongside them, as I do not consider myself the judge of their character. It is not my place to make judgments about them.”

Kangana also indicated her readiness to work with her Tanu Weds Manu co-star Swara in the future when asked about the potential for collaboration.

She remarked, “Absolutely, we can work together. Even in the past, her ideology was distinct. She often discussed communism and socialism while on set. I have never formed an opinion about an actor or any individual based solely on their interviews. This privilege seems to be reserved for leftists, not for us.”

About Swara and Kangana rift

Swara and Kangana have collaborated on two films: Tanu Weds Manu in 2011 and its sequel, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, released in 2015. In 2020, a dispute arose on Twitter when Kangana referred to Swara and Taapsee Pannu as 'B-grade actresses.' In a 2021 interview, Kangana remarked that both Swara and Taapsee, who are considered 'outsiders' in the film industry, deny the existence of nepotism in Bollywood to gain favour with filmmaker Karan Johar, yet they still struggle to secure roles. In response, Swara humorously characterized Kangana's remark as a 'compliment' on Twitter. A few months later, the two engaged in a playful exchange on the platform, culminating in Swara expressing her affection for Kangana.

Last year, Swara commented on the incident involving Kangana being slapped by a CISF constable at the Chandigarh airport. She condemned the act but emphasized the need to address more significant issues facing the country.
