1 month ago | 5 Views
Kangana Ranaut continues to achieve remarkable milestones in her career. Over the past year, she has been elected as a Member of Parliament representing the Bhartiya Janata Party in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, and made her solo directorial debut with the political thriller Emergency. Additionally, she is set to launch her first café, named The Mountain Story, in her home state.
Kangana invites Deepika Padukone to her cafe
Kangana extends an invitation to Deepika Padukone for her café. On Wednesday, she shared a clip from an old video on her Instagram Stories, originally posted by a fan page. The clip features a segment from the News18 Actresses Roundtable in 2013, where Kangana responds to moderator Rajeev Masand's inquiry about her aspirations for the next decade. While Deepika expressed her intention to continue in the same profession, Kangana provided a different perspective.
“I would like to open a restaurant featuring a world menu. Having traveled extensively, I possess a collection of exquisite recipes. My vision is to create a charming little café. I excel in culinary arts,” Kangana stated, to which Deepika replied, “I will be your first client,” leading to shared laughter. In her repost of the clip, Kangana remarked, “If walking the talk had a face, it would be me… also @deepikapadukone, you should be my first client.”
Kangana vs Deepika
The relationship between Kangana and Deepika has not been particularly amicable. Following the threats made by the Rajput Karni Sena against Deepika for her role as Rani Padmini in the 2018 film Padmaavat, Kangana declined to support a petition initiated by several prominent actors in protest. More recently, Kangana revealed that she had turned down Deepika's role in Padmaavat, deeming it “irrelevant.”
Kangana is set to star alongside her Tanu Weds Manu co-star R Madhavan in an upcoming film, having commenced shooting after the release of Emergency earlier this year. Meanwhile, Deepika was last seen in Rohit Shetty's cop drama Singham Again, released in 2024.
