2 months ago | 5 Views
Kangana Ranaut recently shared her thoughts on her relationship with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, calling him a "good friend." She mentioned that even though they've had plenty of chances to team up on various projects, they still haven't managed to work together.
What did Kangana mention?
Kangana recently chatted with News18 about her friendship with Salman and the chance of teaming up for a project. When asked if they might share the screen in the future, she mentioned that they’ve had multiple opportunities to work together in the past, but things just didn’t align.
“Salman is a good friend, and we’ve had plenty of chances to collaborate. But, you know, it just never happened,” she explained.
Earlier, at the trailer launch of her film, Kangana praised Salman, saying, “If you look at Salman ji, he has such a massive fan base and people adore him. I think he’s currently the most beloved star in the country. Those who love him will always do so. But of course, those who find him annoying will naturally dislike him — especially his competitors or others in the film industry. In their eyes, he’s always going to be a bit of a nuisance. If we were in his shoes or if people questioned why he’s at the top, it’s only natural they’d see him that way.”
Kangana Ranaut's upcoming film
Kangana is super excited about her upcoming film, Emergency, which marks her first solo directorial project. In this movie, she takes on the role of the late former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, focusing on the last years of her leadership, including the Emergency and Operation Bluestar. The cast features Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Ashok Chhabra, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman, Vishak Nair, and Satish Kaushik in significant roles. Fans can expect to see Anupam portraying the late politician Jayaprakash Narayan, Shreyas as a young Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Milind as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, Mahima as Pupul Jayakar, and the late Satish Kaushik as Jagjivan Ram. After a lengthy wait, Emergency is set to hit theaters on January 17.
