Kunal Kamra declines Bigg Boss invitation
Kunal utilized his Instagram Stories to post a conversation with an individual claiming to be a casting agent for the new season of the reality show, which is notorious for its controversies and dramatic moments.
The casting director's message stated, "I am overseeing the casting for this season of Bigg Boss, and your name was suggested as someone they might find intriguing. I understand it may not have been on your radar, but honestly, it’s a fantastic platform to showcase your true self and connect with a large audience. What are your thoughts? Should we discuss this further?"
In response, Kunal remarked, “I would much rather check into a mental hospital…” He accompanied the story with a song from Salman Khan's film Radhe. It remains uncertain whether Kunal was approached for the upcoming season of Bigg Boss OTT or Bigg Boss 19.

What do we know about the recent row involving Kunal Kamra?
The controversy involving Kunal Kamra emerged when the comedian made remarks about Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde during a stand-up performance in Mumbai. These comments resulted in the police issuing a summons to Kunal, following an FIR filed against him for alleged defamation and statements considered to constitute public mischief. Compounding the situation, Kunal disclosed that he received around 500 death threats in the aftermath of the incident, prompting him to leave Mumbai and seek safety in his home state of Tamil Nadu. He has since petitioned the Madras High Court, where he successfully obtained interim protection against possible arrest by the Mumbai Police related to the FIR. Earlier this week, the ticketing service, BookMyShow, issued a response after Kunal publicly requested that they refrain from ‘delisting’ him and provide accurate information. Their statement indicated that ‘facts have been misrepresented,’ highlighting their involvement in the matter.
