Actor Kalidas Jayaram, the son of renowned actors Jayaram and Parvathy, wed his girlfriend, model Tarini Kalingarayar, in a traditional ceremony on Sunday. The nuptials were held at the Guruvayur temple in Kerala, where the couple shared their first photographs as a married pair on Instagram.

Kalidas and Tarini shared a collaborative post on Instagram, captioning it with the word “HITCHED,” accompanied by emojis representing the evil eye, infinity symbol, and hearts. In the accompanying images, the couple is seen wearing coordinated red and orange attire. Tarini appears stunning in an orange saree adorned with a red and gold border, while Kalidas is attired in a red and gold mundu. Fans are particularly enamoured by the affectionate way Kalidas and Tarini embrace and kiss, radiating joy in each other's company.

One admirer expressed, "My entire heart," in response to the post. Another remarked, "These are the most adorable wedding photos I have ever encountered." Actors Amala Paul, Dushara Vijayan, Joju George, Ayesha Khan, Manjima Mohan, and others contributed to the conversation with heart emojis and messages of congratulations.

The wedding

Kalidas and Tarini's wedding was graced by the presence of actor and Member of Parliament Suresh Gopi, along with PA Mohammed Riyas, the Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Minister for Public Works and Tourism, and his wife Veena, who is the daughter of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, among other distinguished guests.

Notably, this event marks yet another wedding in the Kalidas family held at the Guruvayur temple. It was at this very location that his parents, Jayaram and Parvathy, exchanged vows in 1992 during the peak of their film careers. Earlier this year, Kalidas' sister, Malavika Jayaram, also celebrated her marriage to Navaneeth Gireesh at the same temple.

Following the ceremony, Jayaram addressed the media, sharing his joy regarding his son's marriage. He remarked, “I am sincerely thankful that, just as people gathered to witness our wedding 32 years ago, they came to celebrate our son’s wedding as well.”

Tarini secured the position of third runner-up in Miss Universe India 2021. With a degree in visual communication, she opted to pursue a career in modelling and has collaborated with various brands. On the other hand, the actor has established a successful career in Tamil cinema, featuring in films such as Paava Kadhaigal, Vikram, and Indian 2. His latest appearance was in Dhanush’s Raayan.
