Kajol introduced actress Shubhangi as the principal actor of Anupam Kher's forthcoming directorial Tanvi The Great at a press conference today. The event was also attended by Anupam's mother Dulari Kher, who unfortunately lost her footing on the stage. However, Kajol promptly came to her aid.

How Kajol assisted Anupam's mother

In a video, Kajol was posing for the photographers at a press event on Monday that featured Anupam as the MC, his mother Dulari, and the film's lead actress Shubhangi in attendance. Suddenly, Dulari lost her balance and was on the verge of falling when Kajol grabbed her by the arm and helped her stabilize herself. Anupam then expressed his gratitude to Kajol for attending the event and blessed her for her kind act. Kajol laughed and remarked, "Aur main aadhi gir bhi gayi (And, I took half a tumble)," to which Anupam responded that this indicated it would bring more fortune to the film.

Anupam and Kajol have collaborated on multiple films together, such as Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and Hum Aaapke Dil Mein Rehte Hai.

Tanvi The Great will be Anupam's second film as a director after a span of 23 years. "When I directed Om Jai Jagadish, it was not a story of my own. Nevertheless, it was a rewarding experience. I felt thrilled to be an actor getting the chance to direct. The cast was really impressive. . . I was more enthusiastic about the thrill of directing a movie. I then realized that being an actor is my profession. Thus, when I want to create a film, it's a narrative I wish to convey and resonate with deeply - when I find a story that I wish to share with the world, I will direct a film. Therefore, it took me 23 years to discover such a story. . . I dedicated around 3 to 3. 5 years to develop the story. We filmed this last year, and this year, we will present it to the world," Anupam shared with ANI during an interview.

Released by Anupam Kher Studios, the movie features music composed by Oscar-winning musician MM Keeravani and is produced in partnership with the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC). The film is set to have its world premiere next month in the Marché du Film section at the Cannes film festival.
