Bollywood actress Kajol has several intriguing projects scheduled for release this year. She is set to appear in Sarzameen, Maa, and Maharagni. Her initial film release for 2025 was anticipated to be Sarzameen, featuring Ibrahim Ali Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran. However, reports indicate that the theatrical release of this film has been postponed due to Nadaaniyan. Consequently, the Netflix film will serve as Ibrahim's acting debut instead of Sarzameen. A summer release is anticipated for this project.

Changes in Kajol's 2025 film release calendar?

According to Mid-Day, the filming of Kayoze Irani's Sarzameen was completed by the end of 2023. The film was initially scheduled for release during the Republic Day weekend in 2025. However, it has been reported that the release has been postponed by several months.

The film addresses the delicate issue of terrorism in Kashmir, featuring Ibrahim in a compelling role. Karan, who has supported both Sarzameen and Nadaaniyan, believes it would be advantageous to introduce Ibrahim as a romantic lead and has scheduled director Shauna Gautam’s Netflix romantic comedy for a summer debut. This timeline also allows Kayoze to refine his film, as Karan seeks specific adjustments. The film starring Kajol and Ibrahim is expected to premiere in late 2025, according to a source from the tabloid.

In this context, Kajol's initial release for 2025 will be the horror film Maa. Directed by Vishal Furia, the film is currently in the post-production phase. Maa, which is produced by Kajol's husband and actor Ajay Devgn, is anticipated to be released in June or July of this year. Devgn is reportedly playing an active role in the film's creative development.

Kajol to be seen in Maharagni

In addition to the previously mentioned films, Kajol is set to appear in Maharagni, directed by filmmaker Charan Tej Uppalapati. This action thriller, produced by Baweja Studios and E7 Entertainments, features a cast that includes Prabhu Deva, Naseeruddin Shah, among others.
