It has earlier been reported that Kajol would come to Kolkata. On Friday, the actress came to Kolkata to shoot a film, Maa. The actress is accompanied by actor Ronit Roy. Kajol was seen in Kolkata Airport on Friday, wearing a grey co-ord set and sunglasses. 

Kajol has a blood connection with Kolkata. She is the daughter of Somu Mukherjee and Tanuja. However, she grew up in Mumbai and is married to Ajay Devgn, who comes from a Marathi family. However, she often visits Kolkata. She came here last time for the promotion of her film Salaam Venky. She also came as a guest at the Kolkata International Film Festival. But those two times were hurricane tours. This time, she will stay in the city for a long time. She went to Bolpur. The shooting will be held in Santiniketan's Sonajhuri Haat and some other places and will go on till April 6. The actress will come back to Kolkata on April 7. The film's director is Vishal Furia. He previously directed the film Chhorii, starring Nushrratt Bharuccha. But the makers of the film did not want to say anything about the present movie, starring Kajol and Ronit. 

Kajol made her acting debut in Bollywood with Bekhudi in 1992. However, it was her Baazigar in 1993 that helped her build a permanent palace in the Mumbai film industry and in fans’ hearts. Her chemistry with Shah Rukh Khan was readily recognised. She has recently paired up with Jisshu U Sengupta in The Trial. Maa will be prodyucved by Ajan Devgn.
