This achievement marks Kajol’s second OTTplay Award; she previously received the Best Debut Actress accolade for her remarkable role in the Jio Hotstar series The Trial. With her performance in Do Patti, she further solidifies her presence in the OTT landscape.

Directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi, Do Patti unfolds against the enchanting backdrop of North India's misty hills, weaving a captivating mystery. Kajol takes on the role of Inspector Vidhya Jyothi, who delves into the dark secrets surrounding twin sisters, played by Kriti Sanon.

This film represents Kajol’s inaugural portrayal of a police officer, and her performance is a significant highlight of Do Patti. The OTTplay Award adds to her accolades, reflecting her steadfast dedication to impactful storytelling.

Kajol, who received the award from Kunal Kohli during the event hosted by Aparshakti Khurana and Kubra Sait, expressed, “This week has been quite unusual for me. I am grateful to OTTplay for selecting me for this honor.”

The OTTplay Awards 2025 attracted prominent figures from the Indian OTT industry, all gathered to celebrate the theme "One Nation, One Award." Notable attendees included Divya Dutta, Kani Kasruti, Priyamani, Rajesh Roshan, and Rakesh Roshan, who were also recognized during the ceremony, which featured celebrities from various film industries, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
