Kajal Aggarwal was an integal part of filmmaker Rohit Shetty's cop drama Singham. The actress shared screen space with Ajay Devgn in the film, where she was seen as Kavya Bhosle. Singham marked the beginning of Shetty's cop universe. And today, it has multiple movies within it. Recently, Singham was re-released in theatres and Kajal recalled the time she worked in the 2011 film. Aggarwal admitted that she didn't expect Singham to become 'so big'.

In an interview, Kajal Aggarwal said she is grateful to have been a part of Singham. The actress revealed that doors open for an actor when he/she does a multi-crore and big-ticket film. Kajal recalled getting few offers after the success of her 2011 film with Ajay Devgn. She considers this movie as a defining film of her career. "I do feel that it was a milestone film," she said.
Kajal added that Singham was entertaining and didn't have unnecessary humour. The actress believes the Rohit Shetty directorial was a 'genuinely funny' film. "It’s a cop story about how he fights for justice and these are stories we all enjoy watching very much. I definitely knew that I was a part of something special but I didn’t expect it to become so big," added Kajal.

Talking about Singham's re-release, Kajal shared that she is happy as people will get a chance to revisit her 2011 film on the big screen. The actress mentioned that Singham enjoys a 'loyal' fan base and was one of the films that set a trend. "I’m very happy it became such a big deal and that its loyal fan base is excited and looking forward to watching it," said Aggarwal.
Meanwhile, Rohit and Ajay are gearing up for the release of Singham Again. It is the third installment of the Singham franchise. The movie, also starring Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapor Khan and Arjun Kapoor, will be released on November 1, 2024.
