16 years ago, a series of coordinated terror attacks took place at the Taj Hotel, Oberoi Trident Hotel, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Leopold Cafe, Mumbai Chabad House, Nariman House, Cama Hospital, and Metro Cinema. At least 166 people, including 20 security force personnel and 26 foreigners, were killed and more than 300 injured in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks in 2008. On the 16th anniversary of the devastating incident, Amitabh Bachchan's Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 welcomed two brave heroes who fought against the terrorists along with other fellow members to save the lives of people.

On November 26, the makers of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 shared a new promo on their Instagram account. The clip showed Sanjay Govilkar, the Addl. superintendent, ACB, Thane, Maharashtra gracing Amitabh Bachchan-hosted show along with Shri Vishwas Nangre Patil, Additional Director General of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Maharashtra. 

They discussed the frightful night that shook the entire nation 16 years ago. They informed that they fired several rounds of guns and did their best to save lives from the terrorists. While listening to the stories of sacrifice, resilience, and unmatched courage, Big B was seen shocked as well as emotional along with the audience.

Sanjay Govilkar recites patriotic verse

In a previous video shared by the streaming platform, Sanjay Govilkar recited a patriotic verse. He said, "Duniya mein mil jayenge aashiq kayi, magar vatan se khoobsurat sanam nahi hota, noto mein simat kar mare, sone mein lipat kar marein hain kayi, magar tirange se khoobsurat kafan nahi hota! (There are countless lovers in the world, but no beloved is as beautiful as one's homeland. Many have died wrapped in currency; many have perished covered in gold, but no shroud is as beautiful as the tricolour flag!)" Amitabh Bachchan and the crowd captivated the studio with cries of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai!"
