Amitabh Bachchan has been the esteemed host of Kaun Banega Crorepati for a remarkable 25 years, during which he has infused the program with vitality through engaging anecdotes and has skillfully quizzed participants while subtly providing hints. The event titled "Gyan Ka Rajat Mahotsav" is set to commence this week on January 20, as part of the reality quiz show. Vinay Gupta, a contestant hailing from Kathu, is making history as the inaugural participant from his locality to grace KBC. He is fervently representing his community on the platform, culminating in a memorable moment where Bachchan recites one of his iconic lines from the film Zanjeer (1973).

Reciting the lines, "Until you are instructed to sit, maintain an upright posture. This is a police station, not your father's residence," Bachchan adopts an action-oriented demeanour. He smiles and shares that he had to deliver this line on the initial day of shooting because of the overwhelming applause. A remarkably gifted individual, Pran provided significant encouragement when Big B felt apprehensive about delivering these lines to him.

Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar authored Zanjeer, which represented a significant milestone in Bachchan's career, succeeding his initial success with Saat Hindustani (1969). At that time, the late Rajesh Khanna held the title of the most celebrated actor in India, as acknowledged by the veteran actor.

What an extraordinary presence he possessed, and what a devoted following he garnered. As a symbol of good fortune, women would collect dirt from the tyres of his car and apply it to their foreheads, captivated by his magnetic charm. Despite being relatively unknown at the time, Salim-Javed recognized his potential and approached him with a story. Javed recounted that during a scene in the film Bombay to Goa [1972], Shatrughan Sinha struck him while he was merely enjoying a few bites of his sandwich. This incident led Javed to believe that he could be an ideal candidate for the lead role in Zanjeer.
