On October 11, Aamir Khan and his son Junaid Khan will be present at the Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16 to celebrate megastar Amitabh Bachchan's birthday. The show is available on SonyLIV as well as OTTPlay Premium and also Sony TV. Ahead of the special episode, the streaming platform shared a new promo where Senior Bachchan can be heard singing the popular Rang Barse. 

Amitabh Bachchan sings Rang Barse at KBC 16 sets

On October 10, a while ago, Sony Entertainment Television shared a new promo of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16 on their official Instagram handle. In the clip, we can see Amitabh Bachchan singing Rang Barse Bheege Chunarwali from his film Silsila. Notably, the song was originally sung by Big B in the film and the music director was Shiv-Hari. 

The promo also focused on the reaction of Aamir Khan who went, 'Waah, waah" after hearing the song from the megastar.

Amitabh Bachchan shares fun story of him ft. his mother

In an earlier promo shared by the streaming platform, Junaid Khan was heard asking Amitabh Bachchan to share something about his mother Teji Bachchan.

The veteran actor said, "Ek din mein rote hue apne maa k pass humne kaha dosto ne maara humko. Unhone kaha unko maar karke wapas aao. Toh maine itan maara un sabko." (One day, I went to my mom crying and said that I was beaten up by a friend. She advised me to go and beat them too.)

To this, Aamir said, "Tabhi janam hua angry young man ka." (Then the angry young man was born.)

They captioned the clip, "AB ne sabke saath apni maa Teji Bachchan Ji ka ek kissa share kiya! Dekhiye #KaunBanegaCrorepati, 11th October raat 9 baje sirf #SonyEntertainmentTelevision par."

Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16 has introduced a new option called Super Sawaal. This is a bonus question that will be available after the first five questions. 

Contestants get the chance to use 'dugaanastra' with Super Sawaal. It will allow them to win double the amount of money if the question is correctly answered. The twist is that contestants cannot use Lifeline for this question.

Earlier, Big B revealed that new changes will be introduced in KBC 16. In his blog, the Kalki 2898 AD actor wrote, "Some fresh new interesting changes in the GAME and the impact it will have and the learnings .. but above all the 'emotions' that overcome us all when the outcome of the contestant before us narrates his or her story ..(sic)."

Meanwhile, Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16 hosted by Amitabh Bachchan premiered on August 12, 2024. The episodes air every Monday to Friday. The new season of KBC will air five days a week at 9 pm on Sony TV as well as OTTPlay Premium.
