29 days ago | 5 Views
KARD, the well-known co-ed K-pop group featuring J Seph, BM, Somin, and Jiwoo, has unfortunately called off their 2025 North American leg of the “NEW ERA” tour. Fans were left heartbroken when the news broke on February 25 at midnight KST, just days before the group was supposed to kick off their concert series in the US.
KARD's North American tour has been called off
The quartet was set to kick off their North America tour in Nashville on Thursday, February 27. Starting in March, the South Korean pop group had plans to perform in Dallas (Texas), Toronto (Ontario), Miami (Florida), Washington, DC, Los Angeles (California), and Chicago (Illinois), wrapping up the tour in San Francisco (California) on March 16, 2025.
KARD teamed up with Konnect’d Entertainment for this North American leg of their tour. Their official bio describes the company as "a collective aiming to elevate the international K-Pop experience. KE wants to create intimate and genuine fan-meet tours across the U.S. to fill the gap in interactive opportunities that both Korean artists and fans face during limited engagement events."
What led to KARD's tour being canceled on such short notice?
We’re really sorry to share that the KARD: NEW ERA 2025 NORTH AMERICA TOUR has been called off because of delays in getting the artists’ working visas, according to the official statement from the group’s label.
“DSPmedia has been in close collaboration with the promoter Konnect’d Entertainment and the agency HY LIVE to make everything go smoothly. Unfortunately, even after submitting all the required paperwork on time, the working visas for both the artists and their team still haven’t been issued,” the statement added. “With the tour starting soon, we’re truly sorry to have to deliver this disappointing news.”
Fans who bought tickets for the shows will automatically get a full refund back to their original payment method. As more refund questions came in through Instagram, the Konnect'd team said, “We need to coordinate with the tour agency to handle refunds for packages within 30 business days. The money will be returned to the original payment method.”
Just over a week ago, KARD dropped their 4th digital single “Detox.” They wrapped up their Latin America tour in January 2025.
KARD isn’t the only group to miss out on a big touring chance because of visa problems. Earlier this year, the up-and-coming group xikers had to cancel their Asia tour, which included stops in Thailand, Malaysia, Macau, and Indonesia, just hours before it was set to start due to “unavoidable circumstances, including visa issues and local conditions.” Before that, in late 2024, fans were devastated when former NCT member Lucas had to cancel his debut in India because of “unexpected delays” with his visa.
