The actor couple Suriya and Jyotika, along with their two children, have established their residence in Mumbai. Jyotika is currently preparing for the launch of her Netflix series, Dabba Cartel. In a recent interview, she discussed her life with Suriya and their approach to parenting, emphasizing how they separate their celebrity status from their family life.

What Jyotika said

It is my belief that upon returning home, we set aside our celebrity status. Within the confines of our household, we assume the role of devoted parents to our children. The focus, indeed, is on our children's needs, particularly concerning their school lunches. Each morning, one child departs for school at 6 o'clock with their lunch, while the younger sibling's meal is sent at noon. Consequently, our conversations revolve around their dietary choices and the manner in which we prepare and pack their meals. Thus, it is clear that at home, we embrace our identity as parents, leaving our superstardom at the threshold.

‘I was married and stopped working at 28’

Jyotika expressed her thoughts on any regrets regarding missed opportunities in Hindi cinema. She stated, “I found immense happiness in the South. I have portrayed some of my most significant roles there, and I feel fortunate to have been part of South Indian films. I often wonder if I would have received similar opportunities had I pursued Hindi films. Additionally, I took a break from my career after getting married at 28 and returned to acting at 35. During that time, I encountered numerous prominent roles in Tamil cinema where I played leading characters. Now, I am back in Hindi cinema and have been warmly welcomed. Therefore, I have no complaints and am quite satisfied with how my career has evolved.”

Jyotika has recently returned to Hindi cinema with her role in Shaitaan. She also appeared in Srikanth, which featured Rajkummar Rao.

Dabba Cartel includes a talented cast featuring Shabana Azmi, Gajraj Rao, Nimisha Sajayan, Shalini Pandey, Anjali Anand, Sai Tamhankar, Jisshu Sengupta, Lillete Dubey, and Bhupendra Singh Jadawat. The narrative revolves around ordinary women who utilize their reputable dabba service to transport drugs throughout Mumbai. The series is set to premiere on Netflix on February 28.
