Justin Baldoni's Lawsuit Update: Cites Intimacy Coordinator's Notes That Blake Lively Skipped

Justin Baldoni has expanded his lawsuit against Blake Lively and her spouse, Ryan Reynolds, incorporating additional information regarding notes he received from the intimacy coordinator for It Ends With Us during a meeting that Lively reportedly opted not to attend.

In the revised complaint, Baldoni asserted that he found himself in the "less than ideal position of having to relay" the intimacy coordinator's notes to Lively directly. The actor-director indicated that he traveled to Lively's penthouse in New York City—where she had purportedly requested a meeting—to discuss the film's intimate scenes, according to the lawsuit.

The notes from the intimacy coordinator, dated April 2023, indicated that Baldoni's character would "go down on" Lively's character, with the scene depicting both characters "orgasming" and participating in "foreplay."

Additionally, it was reported that Lively allegedly expressed her reluctance to "orgasm" on screen, stating that she felt "too old for that," as mentioned in her lawsuit.

Baldoni countersued Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

Baldoni asserted that he subsequently offered an alternative proposal based on the notes from the intimacy coordinator before concluding the discussion. His lawsuit indicated that Lively ultimately dismissed all of the intimacy coordinator's suggestions for revising the scenes herself.

Additionally, the court documents claimed that Lively later lodged a complaint in which she accused Baldoni of discussing his personal sex life and incorporating unnecessary scenes featuring her character's “orgasm.”

Baldoni’s legal representatives also addressed Lively’s distinct allegations regarding the filming conditions of a birth scene in the film. Lively had previously remarked that the scene was filmed in a “chaotic” and “crowded” environment that lacked “standard industry protections,” as she was reportedly wearing only a minimal piece of fabric to cover her private area.

However, Baldoni’s lawsuit refuted this, claiming that Lively “was wearing black briefs and a pregnancy suit that covered her midsection, and her top was covered by a hospital gown” during the filming of the scene.

Both of the It Ends With Us stars' lawsuits are scheduled to go to trial on March 9, 2026.
