Blake Lively has levelled accusations against her co-star and director Justin Baldoni from the film ‘It Ends with Us,’ asserting that his actions have adversely affected her career, including the loss of a much-anticipated opportunity to host the Season 50 premiere of ‘Saturday Night Live’ this week.

In a formal complaint submitted to the California Civil Rights Department, Lively outlined her allegations against Baldoni, asserting that he harmed her reputation and fostered a “hostile work environment” during production.

In the lawsuit, Lively remarked, “The repercussions on Ms. Lively’s professional life were both immediate and significant. Due to the ongoing nature of the campaign and the resulting negative public perception, Ms. Lively felt unable to engage in public appearances or events without being compelled to address the incidents that occurred on set.”

Lively also asserted that she lost the opportunity to host the premiere episode of the 50th anniversary season of 'Saturday Night Live' in September 2024. The complaint further indicated that Lively had to cancel a significant corporate event for Target related to her hair care brand due to the repercussions of the situation.

The legal filing detailed a meeting that took place in January 2024 between Lively and Baldoni, which was organized to discuss her return to the set of 'It Ends with Us' after the resolution of the Hollywood labour strikes. During this meeting, Lively claimed that Baldoni made inappropriate remarks regarding her weight, spoke about his personal life, and pressured her to reveal her religious beliefs.

Additionally, Lively accused Jamey Heath, a producer of the film and CEO of Baldoni’s Wayfarer Studios, of showing her a video of his wife giving birth, an act she deemed highly inappropriate.

Lively’s complaint also included screenshots of communications, such as texts and emails, exchanged between herself, Baldoni, and his team. These messages allegedly outlined a "multi-tiered plan" aimed at damaging Lively’s reputation. The complaint asserted, “If any of the issues between the ‘It Ends with Us’ co-stars were to become public, they would initiate a campaign to tarnish her name.”

Bryan Freedman, the attorney representing Baldoni and the studio, refuted all allegations, describing them as “completely false, outrageous, and intentionally salacious.”
