Junaid Khan, the son of a Bollywood legend, actually likes to take auto rickshaws instead of fancy cars. In a chat with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa on their YouTube channel, he shared a funny story about how he tried to keep his identity a secret from an auto driver when he unexpectedly ran into his dad, Aamir Khan, who was in a Mercedes at a traffic light.

Junaid shares his reasons for choosing to travel by auto

When Junaid was asked why he prefers taking an auto instead of using one of his fancy cars at home, he explained that it’s just more practical. He said, "In a bustling city like Mumbai, an auto is the way to go. If I drive a car, I’ll just end up in traffic and searching for a parking spot. It’s really just a smart choice. Not that many people know me anyway. Only once did an auto driver recognize me." On the flip side, Khushi shared that her parents never let her ride in an auto.

Junaid kept his identity a secret from the taxi driver

Junaid shared a hilarious story about one of his auto rides. He said, "So, I was on my way from Andheri to Bandra for a play rehearsal, and at the same time, my dad was coming back from Yash Raj Studios. When we hit a red light, his car ended up right next to my auto. I was glued to my phone when he rolled down his window to say hi, and I waved back. As soon as the light turned green, we both took off. The auto driver was totally stunned and asked me, ‘Do you know him?’ I said, ‘Yeah, we actually live in the same neighborhood. His mom and my grandma are both from Banaras.’"

Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor kicked off their Bollywood journeys with direct-to-OTT films, Maharaj and The Archies, respectively. Now, they’re gearing up for their big screen debuts in Advait Chandan's Loveyapa. This romantic drama, which is a remake of the Tamil blockbuster Love Today, is set to release on February 7.
