Junaid Khan is presently engaged in promoting his forthcoming film, Loveyapa. The actor recently attracted attention for his playful comment regarding his father, Aamir Khan's, former spouses during the promotional activities at the Bigg Boss 18 finale. In a subsequent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Junaid expressed remorse over his statement.
On January 19, Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor made an appearance at the grand finale of Bigg Boss 18, where Aamir Khan also joined them on stage. During a lighthearted segment of the show, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan exchanged their mobile phones. Aamir playfully teased Salman about his past relationships, to which Salman humorously remarked that he would not find much in Aamir's phone except messages from his ex-wives. Junaid then added a cheeky comment, implying that Salman might discover some unflattering messages from Aamir's former spouses.
Junaid expresses regret
In reflecting on his comment, Junaid acknowledged, "I suppose it may have been somewhat inappropriate. They are both highly respected actors, and I believe I should have conducted myself with more decorum. They have both been in the industry for 40 years and are exceptional talents. Perhaps I should have exercised more restraint."
What Junaid had said
During the playful exchange, when Salman Khan examined Aamir's phone, he quipped, “What could I possibly find in your phone? It would likely be messages from Reena or Kiran.” Junaid then interjected, stating, “So you might end up reading insults from two ex-wives.” This remark elicited laughter from the audience.
Aamir Khan married Reena Dutta in 1986 and has two children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan, with her. The couple divorced in 2002, with Dutta gaining custody of both children. Aamir later married Kiran Rao in 2005, and they welcomed their son, Azad, in 2011. However, they divorced in 2021 and continue to co-parent their son amicably.
