Junaid Khan, Aamir Khan's son, stays away from social media but recently shared in an interview that producers are still eager to work with him, even without a digital footprint. He’s really looking forward to his first movie, Loveyapa, which features Khushi Kapoor as well. To kick off his career in 2024, Junaid helped out on several of his dad's projects before stepping into the spotlight with YRF's Maharaj.

Junaid Khan's role in the industry brings a lot of advantages

The newcomer shared with Radio Nasha that he’s got a bunch of perks from the role he took over from his dad. When it comes to trolls and critics, he confidently stated that he’s in a pretty good spot. He pointed out that there are plenty of advantages to his current position. Plus, he added that nobody has ever said anything bad about him. Junaid, on the other hand, doesn’t really know much since he doesn’t engage with social media.

He went on to say that he feels it's a "privilege" not to be on social media, especially since he can still land jobs without it. He sees that as a pretty big deal. He appreciates having the choice to stay off social media if he wants to. In his view, most actors don’t get that kind of luxury. Producers are still interested in casting him, even without a big online presence, which he thinks is pretty unique. He mentioned that his family has always had a strong influence in the industry. A lot of actors have talked about how casting often depends on social media followings, since many roles in movies and TV are influenced by that. Being active on social media helps even the biggest stars connect with their fans and promote their projects.

Junaid Khan's skill in maneuvering through nepotism and reaping its benefits

The actor shared his thoughts on the perks of nepotism during a chat with Humans of Bombay. He mentioned that he doesn't pay attention to any negative remarks about him online since he doesn't use social media.

Junaid shared his thoughts on nepotism, expressing that he feels pretty fortunate. He admitted that it's tough for him to put his feelings into words. As the firstborn son of a wealthy and influential father, he checks all the boxes for privilege. Because of that, he doesn't really have the choice to ignore it. It's everywhere—among the people he interacts with and in various aspects of life. Plus, he benefits a lot from it. He suggests that, as an actor, it's totally fine for him to take a break from social media right now. He believes no other actors could get away with that.

Loveyapa is set to hit theaters on February 7, 2025.
