Julia Roberts has expressed her indignation regarding the looting occurring in regions affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles, providing a strong condemnation of those exploiting the situation. As the catastrophic fires persist in their impact on the area, nine individuals have been charged with looting in the aftermath of the devastation wrought by the Palisades and Eaton fires.

L.A. County District Attorney Nathan Hochman emphasized, “Let me be clear: If you exploit this tragedy to prey on victims of these deadly fires, we will find you and we will prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law,” as reported by Hello! magazine. Roberts appeared to concur with this stance against individuals seeking to exploit those affected by the wildfires.

In expressing her sentiments on the issue, she took to Instagram to declare, “F.U. looters.” Along with her emphatic message, she shared information about the SoCal Fund aimed at raising awareness.

She stated, “@caafoundation in collaboration with @coreresponse, @eifoundation, and @lausd is launching the SoCal Fire Fund to provide immediate and long-term support for all those affected by the current fires. There is a significant need for healing and assistance. We will overcome this.”

LA wildfires shake up Hollywood

The wildfires that ignited on January 7 in the Pacific Palisades region have resulted in a tragic loss of at least 24 lives, with many individuals still unaccounted for. Numerous residences have suffered damage or destruction, including those belonging to notable personalities such as Tina Knowles, Paris Hilton, Leighton Meester, Adam Brody, and Anthony Hopkins.

On Monday, a new fire, referred to as the Auto Fire, broke out in Ventura County, consuming approximately 56 acres. Fortunately, the Ventura County Fire Department has reported that firefighters have successfully halted its advance, thereby preventing further spread.

As of Sunday, January 12, three significant wildfires were actively burning in Los Angeles. According to Cal Fire, the largest of these fires has charred over 20,000 acres and is currently 11% contained. The Eaton fire has expanded to more than 14,000 acres, inflicting considerable damage to structures in the Altadena and Pasadena areas.
