Jubilee co-creator Soumik Sen wrote the story of Mumbai’s glamour world. It delves into the story of stardom, jealousy, greed, selfishness, politics, and the Partition. Jubilee mesmerised the audience and critics. This time, it is rumored that Soumik is writing the story of the Bangladesh Liberation War and it will star the Bangladeshi actor Arifin Shuvoo and Tollywood’s Sauraseni Maitra. 

Soumik does not want to say anything about the series. It is heard that he will also direct the series. Arpita Chatterjee might produce it, as sources say. It might be released on SonyLiv. Sauraseni was contacted by some media to comment on this, but she declined to comment. 

Sauraseni is nowadays frequently travelling to Mumbai. She is seen as a strong female character in the web series, Taj: Divided by Blood, which also features Naseeruddin Shah. Now she is working on the upcoming film by Manish Malhotra. Its shooting, dubbing, and some patchwork are going on. 

Sauraseni will be seen in Srijit Mukherji’s film Shotyi Bole Shotyi Kichu Nei. Now, Soumik’s series is the newest addition to her work list. Reports say that an initial draft of the screenplay is ready. Initial talks with Sauraseni and Arifin have also been done.
