Actor Jr NTR and director Koratala Siva are currently in Japan for the screenings of their upcoming film, Devara: Part 1, set to release in 2024. At the premiere, the actor encountered a fan who had dressed as him, and they shared a dance to the song Ayudha Pooja, with videos of the event circulating online.

Jr NTR dances with fan dressed like him

Comedian Kintaro was present at the Tokyo premiere of Devara on Monday, where he attended dressed as Jr NTR’s character, Devara, much to the actor's amusement. The two danced together to the Ayudha Pooja song in a Japanese theater, delighting the audience. A video shared by Devara’s fan page in Japan shows Kintaro and Jr NTR synchronizing their dance moves while the crowd cheered enthusiastically.

Previously, Jr NTR visited Japan for the screening of SS Rajamouli’s RRR, which premiered in October 2022 following its March release in India. He expressed his gratitude to the fans, stating, “I appreciate the bond with the people of Japan. This film is special and filled with soul. I hope you enjoy it.” Regarding RRR’s Academy Award victory, he remarked, “Thanks to Japan, we won an Oscar; this now feels like my home. I hope you continue to enjoy and support Indian cinema.”

Kintaro, who received a hug from Jr NTR after their performance, also shared photos with the actor on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), describing the experience of dancing with him as a ‘blast.’

As reported by Sacnilk, Devara has grossed ₹292.03 crore net in India and ₹421.63 crore globally. The film features Jr NTR in dual roles as father and son, Devara and Vara, alongside co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, and Shine Tom Chacko. It has received mixed reviews but achieved commercial success since its release in September of last year.
