Actor Jr NTR recently recounted a touching experience from his trip to Japan, where his film Devara: Part 1 has been generating excitement among audiences. In a post on social media, he shared that a Japanese admirer had taken the initiative to learn Telugu, his mother tongue, after viewing his hit movie RRR.
Jr NTR moved by Japanese fan who learnt Telugu
The actor conveyed his feelings, noting that the fan's gesture had profoundly touched him. He remarked, “My trips to Japan always create wonderful memories, but this particular experience was unique. Hearing a Japanese fan say she learned Telugu after watching RRR genuinely moved me.”
Jr NTR further highlighted the ability of cinema to connect different cultures and motivate language acquisition. “As someone who appreciates both cinema and languages, the capacity of film to serve as a bridge between cultures and inspire a fan to learn a new language is an unforgettable experience. This is yet another reason to celebrate Indian Cinema as it reaches audiences worldwide,” he stated.
In the video, Tarak is seen signing autographs for fans when one of them shares, “Anna nenu RRR chusina taravata Telugu nerchukunnanu. (Brother, I learned Telugu after watching RRR).” Upon hearing this, the actor appears surprised and exclaims ‘wow.’ The fan then explains how she watched his film two years ago and continues speaking in Japanese, referring to him as an ‘inspiration.’ He responds, “You're a bigger inspiration than all of us.”
Devara Part 1 to release in Japan
Jr NTR is currently in Japan for the premiere of Devara: Part 1. The actor shared a video on his social media, showcasing his experience at an event in Japan, where enthusiastic fans were seen celebrating his presence. He expressed his excitement, stating, "Overwhelmed, Japan! I eagerly anticipate the Japanese audience experiencing #Devara in theaters starting March 28th."
