Ever since Alia Bhatt announced her upcoming action-thriller, Jigra, fans have been eagerly speculating about the plot and her action-based performance. The excitement only grew when it was revealed that Vedang Raina, who made his debut with Zoya Akhtar's The Archies, would be playing Alia’s beloved sibling. Today, after the Jigra teaser trailer was released, the ‘Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka’ song is making waves on the internet. But did you know the song was sung by Vedang himself?

Vedang Raina on singing ‘Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka'

Recently in an interview with Zoom TV, Vedang revealed that he has done classical training. During his school and college days, he performed in various festivals as a singer. However, singing a song for Jigra came as a shock for the young actor too. According to Raina, it was the music director Achint, who saw a video of him singing the song ‘Phir Le Aaya Dil’ on Instagram and suggested the idea of him crooning ‘Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka' to the director Vasant Bala.

“I actually never asked and when they cast me, it was never a conversation either. I think our music director Achint saw a video of mine on my Instagram that I had recorded way back of me singing ‘Phir Le Aaya Dil’. He must have suggested the idea to Vasan sir and that’s when it happened”, Vedang stated.

About ‘Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka' song

For the unversed, the original song ‘Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka' was made for Dev Anand and Zeenat Aman's 1971 film, Hare Rama Hare Krishna. The story of the film revolves around a brother’s desperate search for his long-lost sister. He later brings her back to their family with much love.

The song ‘Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka' resembles the deep bonding between a brother and a sister. The song has been recreated for Alia Bhatt's film Jigra to commemorate the sibling bond between her and Vedang Raina in the action-thriller drama. The teaser trailer already showed us that the National Award-winning actress can go to any lengths to fight for her beloved brother Vedang’s survival, who is trapped in some kind of deadly conspiracy.

Jigra is directed by Vasan Bala, and backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. It is all set to make its theatrical release on October 11, 2024.
