In a recent interview with Filmygyan, Kunal Kapoor, making his comeback to the screen after a four-year break with Jewel Thief, shared insights about his experience working alongside Saif Ali Khan. He humorously remarked, "He (Saif Ali Khan) can be quite a challenge. Collaborating with him was tough. He often arrived late, and when he finally showed up, he was unfamiliar with his lines, which meant we had to wait for him to memorize them. Then it was take after take."

Kunal's role in Jewel Thief revolves around pursuing others, and he expressed that while he found it enjoyable, he experienced a sense of isolation on set. He remarked, “I felt lonely because my character is not part of the group in the film; I am in pursuit of them, which left me alone during filming. Meanwhile, the rest of the cast would share moments of enjoyment together.”

In discussing his involvement in Jewel Thief, Kunal Kapoor expressed that he was motivated to join the cast for two primary reasons. Firstly, he was eager to work alongside esteemed talents such as Saif Ali Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Siddharth Anand. Secondly, he noted that each character in the film has a unique voice and presence. "Ultimately, I believe that your craft and character should speak for themselves, rather than your name on the poster," he remarked.

Saif Ali Khan will portray Rehan Roy, the expert thief, while Jaideep Ahlawat will take on the role of Rajan Aulakh, the mafia leader. Kunal Kapoor is set to play Detective Vikram Patel, and Nikita Dutta will depict Farah, a character intricately connected to the heist.
