However, the esteemed lyricist became incensed and strongly condemned an individual who made communal remarks in response to his social media tribute to Virat Kohli.

Javed Akhtar's Praise for Virat Kohli  

In the wake of Team India's triumph, Javed Akhtar took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his enthusiasm. He stated, "Virat Kohli, zindabad (long live)!!! We all are so so so proud of you!!!" In reaction, one individual commented, "Javed. Babar ka baap Kohli hai (Kohli is Babar's father). Bolo (say), Jai Shree Ram."

Javed's Response to the Troll  

In response, Javed retorted, "I can only say that you are a despicable person and will remain so until your end. What do you understand about love for the nation?" 

Another commenter inquired, "Aaj suraj kaha se nikla. Andar se dukh hoga apko to (Where from did the sun rise today? You must be feeling sad)."

Javed remarked, "Son, while your father and grandfather were subservient to the British, I was enduring imprisonment for my fight for freedom. My veins carry the blood of patriots, whereas yours carry the blood of British loyalists. Do not overlook this distinction."

Javed has also previously addressed derogatory and prejudiced remarks regarding his beliefs, despite identifying as an atheist.

Regarding the India vs. Pakistan match, numerous celebrities praised Team India and Virat Kohli. Virat scored an unbeaten 100 runs off 111 balls.
