Jr NTR made a long-awaited public appearance at the success celebration of Mad 2, a film featuring his brother-in-law, Narne Nithin. During the event, he delivered an emotional speech, expressing his deep appreciation to his fans for their support in making Devara a significant success.

A key moment in his address was his response to the circulating rumors about Devara 2. There had been widespread speculation that the sequel had been canceled due to the mixed reviews of the first film.

NTR categorically refuted these claims, affirming that Devara 2 is actively in development and will commence production after he finishes his current high-octane action film with director Prashanth Neel. "For those who believed Devara 2 would not materialize, I assure you that we will return with great impact," he stated.

In a lighter moment, NTR discussed the difficulties associated with performing comedy, acknowledging it as the most challenging genre for him. He noted that this is why he has no intention of participating in Adhurs 2. The original Adhurs was a tremendous success, with NTR’s depiction of an eccentric priest becoming legendary. Despite the persistent requests from fans for a sequel with director VV Vinayak, NTR confirmed that he will not be revisiting this character shortly, which has left fans somewhat disheartened.

NTR expressed his enthusiasm while commending the Mad 2 team. "I truly enjoyed the film—it was a hilarious experience. Every actor excelled, and achieving Rs 80 crore with a cast of newcomers is quite an accomplishment," he remarked.

In conclusion, regarding his brother-in-law Narne Nithin, NTR expressed, "I was taken aback when Nithin mentioned his desire to pursue acting. I encouraged him to follow his passion but advised him not to rely on my assistance. To this day, he has not sought any support and has successfully established his own career in Tollywood. I take pride in his achievements."

Mad 2 is still performing well in theaters. Netflix has secured the streaming rights and plans to release the film in the final week of April 2025.
