Actor Janhvi Kapoor has expressed her outrage regarding the tragic road accident that occurred in Vadodara last week. She took to Instagram to voice her feelings, conveying her anger and disbelief over the incident.

According to police reports, a woman lost her life instantly, and four others were injured when a speeding vehicle operated by a 20-year-old law student collided with their two-wheelers in Vadodara, Gujarat, during the early hours of Friday.

Janhvi shared a video related to the accident and commented, “This is both shocking and infuriating. I feel nauseated at the thought that anyone believes they can evade consequences for such behavior, whether under the influence or not.”

What happened in Vadodara car accident?

The incident took place at approximately 12:30 AM near the Muktanand crossroads in the Karelibaug area, leading to the arrest of the driver, Rakshit Chaurasiya, as reported by Deputy Commissioner of Police Panna Momaya. An eyewitness captured a video in which Chauhan exits the vehicle, which had significant front-end damage, and begins to accuse Chaurasiya of causing the accident.

Chaurasiya, appearing disoriented, repeatedly shouts, “Another round? Another round?” The footage reveals bystanders attacking Chaurasiya before they turned him over to the authorities.

CCTV footage obtained by the media shows the speeding vehicle colliding with two scooters, causing the riders to be thrown off and dragged along until the car finally stopped.

The police have filed a case of driving under the influence against Rakshit Ravish Chaurasia; however, he maintains that he was not intoxicated at the time of the incident.
