Jamie Lee Curtis came close to tears while discussing the devastating wildfires that have swept through Southern California, particularly affecting Los Angeles County. In her recent appearance on The Tonight Show, the 66-year-old actress, who resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Christopher Guest, conveyed that the entire Pacific Palisades area is ablaze.

The Oscar-winning actress displayed visible emotion while speaking with host Jimmy Fallon, stating, “As you are aware, my residence is currently engulfed in flames.” “The entire city of the Pacific Palisades is literally on fire,” Curtis elaborated, mentioning that upon her arrival in New York City “last night,” she began receiving notifications regarding the deadly wildfires.

“I was on the plane when I started receiving messages. It’s incredibly severe, everyone,” Curtis remarked. “It’s a disaster in Southern California. There have been devastating fires in numerous locations. This is precisely where I reside. Everything,” the True Lies actress emphasized.

Curtis further revealed that “many, many, many” of her friends had lost their homes due to the catastrophic fires. “It’s an extremely distressing situation,” she added, before announcing her intention to return home to be with her family first thing on Thursday.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Halloween star took to social media to express her sorrow to her followers. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Jamie Lee Curtis informed her six million followers that her home was “possibly” ablaze. “It is a frightening situation, and I am thankful to the firefighters and all the good Samaritans who are assisting people in evacuating from the fire,” she wrote.

“If there was ever a time to use the phrase MY HAND IN YOURS, it is now. Take care of one another,” the Freaky Friday star continued. “Stay clear and allow the firefighters to perform their duties. Pray if you believe, and even if you do not, pray for those who do,” she concluded.
