Solo Leveling Season 2 taps award-winning singer J Balvin

The star-studded panel of Solo Leveling Season 2 - Arise from the Shadow has been further enhanced with the inclusion of a Grammy-nominated Colombian artist in both the English and Spanish dub casts. On Wednesday, Crunchyroll and Variety made a significant announcement, disclosing that singer J Balvin will join the voice cast of the popular anime in a pivotal role.

The trailblazer of Latin music has previously worked alongside prominent figures in the music industry, including Beyoncé, Bad Bunny, and Cardi B. His sixth studio album, "Rayo," has recently received a nomination for a Grammy Award, adding to his collection of honours from the Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, and Latin Grammys.

J Balvin on new Solo Leveling introduction

J Balvin's character in the upcoming Solo Leveling adaptation has not yet been disclosed, as information regarding his voice-acting role remains confidential. He expressed his excitement about joining the cast, stating, "I am incredibly excited to be part of 'Solo Leveling.' This series boasts a dedicated fanbase, and having the opportunity to enter the anime realm, especially as a long-time admirer, is truly a privilege. I eagerly anticipate sharing our work with everyone."

The English dubbed version of the anime's second season commenced streaming on Crunchyroll on January 18. Aleks Le returned to voice the lead character, Sung Jinwoo, while the original version debuted on January 4, 2025.
