The makers of Suriya-starrer Kanguva recently announced that the film will be hitting theatres on October 10. However, this has speculated rumours that the film will clash with Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Vettiayan which is also scheduled to release in October.

Producer KE Gnanavelraja who is backing Kanguva recently opened about this, and negated the rumours. Read on further to know what he said.

Kanguva Vs Vettaiyan

Kanguva starring Suriya in the lead role, is all set to hit big screens on October 10. While fans of the actor are rejoicing that the film has finally set a release date, reports became rampant that Kanguva will clash with Rajinikanth-starrer Vettaiyan.

While the makers of Vetaiyan had previously said that the film will hit theatres for October, a release date has not yet been revealed. Now with Kanguva announcing its release date, fans began to guess that both the films will clash.

KE Gnanavelraja of Studio Green, who is backing Kanguva, in a recent interview said, “I want to clarify. They (Vettaiyan) are targeting for Diwali and working towards that. So, on October 10, no films are being planned. I, emotionally and professionally, will not decide to come with Rajini sir.” The producer also talked about his fondness for Rajinikanth and said they will never clash with him.
