Several reports were making the rounds that Singham Again will likely skip the Diwali 2024 window and release on a later date. The plan remains intact for the film to compete with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 at the box office. Rohit Shetty took to his Instagram page and confirmed that there's no change in the release date for his upcoming directorial starring Ajay Devgn in the iconic role. 

Scorpio's role highlighted

The filmmaker shared a video featuring not the leading star but yet another important character from his Cop Universe, namely the Scorpio car, which topples and tumbles in almost every installment. In addition to the video, Shetty wrote that Singham would be incomplete without this hero. Now, viewers can expect the Scorpio to arrive and spin around this Diwali. However, there's a twist to the story; he wrote that the entry will be by someone else.

Prabhas' potential cameo

Interestingly, Shetty used the Bujji Theme from Kalki 2898 AD for the video's audio. Does that imply that Prabhas will also be making an appearance in Rohit Shetty's Cop Universe, among the sea of stars? Only time will tell.

Singham Again was supposed to hit theatres on August 15, 2024. However, Ajay's revelation that further shooting was required cast doubt on the film's release. At the trailer premiere of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, the actor informed reporters that he was unsure about the release date. The film still requires some shooting and additional work. Hurrying up ruins everything, so they are not in a rush. When they are ready, they will select the release date.

Ensemble cast and character details

Singham Again features an ensemble cast that includes Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and Jackie Shroff. Deepika, Arjun, and Tiger are the new additions, while Akshay is reprising his titular role of Sooryavanshi; similarly, Ranveer Singh is playing Simmba. Kareena is returning to the franchise after a decade, as she first appeared in Singham Returns. Meanwhile, Jackie was the main antagonist in Sooryavanshi.
