Although Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Garner did not develop a strong friendship during the short time that Lopez was involved with Ben Affleck, it appears that they have succeeded in fostering a respectful and amicable relationship. Despite their history, the two actresses, both aged 52, are frequently spotted together with their children—Violet, Fin (previously known as Seraphina), and Samuel.

Lopez ‘felt threatened’ by Garner

A source informed InTouch that “J.Lo felt a sense of insecurity regarding Jen Garner throughout much of her marriage. The manner in which Ben would seek her counsel during their disputes was particularly frustrating for her.” The insider further asserted that Affleck found “spending time with Jen and their children” to be “far more comfortable than navigating the complexities of a blended family. He feels completely at ease with her; there is no tension or pressure, allowing him to be his true self.”

While Ben Affleck exchanged gifts with the singer of "On The Floor," he chose to spend the holiday season with Garner and their children. The former couple, who ended their relationship in 2015, was also seen together during Thanksgiving as they participated in a food distribution event with the Midnight Mission in downtown Los Angeles, California.

The source conveyed to People magazine, “Jen and Ben were all together for Christmas. It’s all for the children. Jen was raised in a family-oriented environment during the holidays, and she desires the same experience for her kids,” as reported by OK! Magazine.

Affleck tries to be present for his kids

The actor known for his role as Batman is currently managing the challenges of his divorce from Lopez while striving to be present for his children as much as possible. According to another source cited by Star, "As Ben returns to his previous routine, he is experiencing a renewed sense of self-worth. Spending quality time with Jen Garner and the children during the holiday season has contributed to his feeling that his life is regaining stability."

Additionally, Garner appears to be pleased that Affleck is finally moving forward from his relationship with Lopez. A source informed the Daily Mail, "Jen has decided to limit her communication with J.Lo to matters concerning the children. Her friends believe she should not have become so involved in assisting J.Lo with her marriage to Ben, especially since Jen often felt like she was in competition with J.Lo during their own marriage.
