On Wednesday, comedian and host of India's Got Latent, Samay Raina, declared via a tweet that he would be removing all episodes of his show from YouTube. This decision came in response to significant backlash, including numerous legal challenges, the burning of effigies, and a social media uproar following an 'inappropriate' and 'crass' joke made by guest Ranveer Allahbadia during the episode. While many fans are disheartened by the removal of the episodes from the streaming platform, there is also growing concern regarding the fate of the unreleased episodes that they had been eagerly anticipating.

Which episodes are unreleased?

An Instagram user by the name of @raptile_sayzz posted a video that featured a collection of images from various unreleased episodes. Among those depicted were influencer Uorfi Javed alongside filmmaker Farah Khan and comedian Tanmay Bhat, as well as actor Mallika Sherawat with Bigg Boss champion Munawar Faruqui. The video also showcased cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and seasoned actors Dalip Tahil and Ashish Vidyarthi. Additionally, there is an upcoming episode featuring comedian-actor Bhuvan Bam.

A fan of the show expressed their frustration in a post, stating, “At the very least, they should allow the original episodes to be released, unfaithful individuals.” Another individual commented, “Is time travel possible? We just need to cut that one scene.” A different user remarked, “I am aware he will not return, but I will continue to wait.” One person lamented, “I purchased a membership for 59, and now the episode has been deleted.”

Numerous individuals proposed inventive solutions to address the predicament. Suggestions included releasing the episodes on platforms such as PornHub, OnlyFans, or even in Pakistan.

The episode featuring Mallika and Munawar was filmed in January 2024 but has yet to be aired. Yuzvendra recorded his segment in November of the previous year, while Dalip and Ashish completed their filming in December.

In his initial statement following the controversy that arose earlier this week, Raina expressed his commitment to fully cooperate with all investigative agencies involved in the inquiry.

"The events that have transpired have been overwhelming for me. I have taken down all 'India's Got Latent' videos from my channel. My sole intention was to entertain and bring joy to people. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure that their investigations are conducted fairly. Thank you," Raina, 27, stated on X.

On Tuesday, the contentious episode of the show was removed from YouTube in compliance with directives from the central government. "India’s Got Latent," which premiered in June 2024, has aired a total of 18 episodes to date.

Allahbadia, 31, became embroiled in significant controversy after his remarks regarding parents and sex on Raina's show went viral on social media on Monday, leading to widespread backlash and police complaints in Mumbai and Guwahati.

Known widely as BeerBiceps, Allahbadia has already issued an apology for his "lapse in judgment," yet the matter continues to attract attention.

On Wednesday, the Mumbai Police recorded statements from four individuals, including social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija, who also participated in the show.
