Kamal Haasan, the legendary actor is reuniting with veteran filmmaker Shankar for Indian 2, the sequel of their blockbuster 1996 film, Indian. The highly anticipated project, which originally started rolling in 2019, is finally nearing completion after multiple delays. For the uninitiated, the makers have completed filming of the third installment in the franchise, along with Part 2. Meanwhile, the Indian 2 team is gearing up for the grand audio launch of the much-awaited film.

Indian 2 audio launch date and time out

Recently, the makers of Indian 2, Lyca Productions took to their official social media handles and officially announced the audio launch date and time, with a special post. “In the realm of anticipation! Prepare to step into the grandeur of the INDIAN-2 audio launch happening on June 1st at Nehru Stadium, 6 PM onwards,” reads the X (formerly Twitter) post of the prestigious production banner. The new update has left the fans of Kamal Haasan and Shankar fans, and Tamil cinema lovers, highly excited. 

Indian 2 to have 6 songs?

Ahead of the Indian 2 audio launch event, music director Anirudh Ravichander took to his official Instagram handle and revealed that the music album of Kamal Haasan starrer will have 6 tracks. “Indian 2 album with 6 tracks from tomorrow. Paara, Calendar Song, Neelorpam, Zaga Zaga, Comeback Indian, Kadhalarz. Ulaganayagam @ikamalhaasan sir in @shanmughamshankar sir musical special” reads the young musician’s Instagram post. Anirudh Ravichander’s revelation came out as a big surprise for the music lovers, who have been eagerly waiting for the audio launch.

For the uninitiated, the makers are currently planning to re-release the first installment of the franchise, Indian, in a digital 4K format before the release of Indian 2. The remastering process of the iconic film is currently nearing its final stages, and a massive update on the same is expected to be out during the grand audio launch. However, you can revisit the much-loved Kamal Haasan starrer on OTT, anytime. For the uninitiated, Indian is currently available for streaming in popular OTT platforms Aha Tamil and OTTplay Premium. You can also stream the film on Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar.
