Fans are super excited for Salman Khan's upcoming movie, Sikandar. Directed by AR Murugadoss, it’s set to premiere on March 30. In a recent chat with PTI, the director revealed how Salman responded when he first pitched the script to him a few years back.

Here's what Murugadoss had to say regarding Salman

In the interview, the director recounted his visit to the star's home at the Galaxy apartment to present the film's script. He said, “About half an hour into the narration, the star stepped away for a smoke and then asked me, ‘Do you know how I operate?’ I replied, ‘No.’ He then said, ‘I work from 2 pm to 2 am. Are you okay with that?’ At that moment, I thought, 'This must mean he’s interested in the script.'”

We need to keep the fans happy

Murugadoss has previously collaborated with some of Bollywood's biggest names. He directed Aamir Khan in Ghajini and Akshay Kumar in Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty. Reflecting on his experiences with these superstars, he mentioned, “When you’re working with such high-profile actors, you can’t stick to the script 100 percent. We have to make compromises for the audience, their fan base, and the film's opening. As a director, being completely authentic isn’t always possible. We need to keep the fans in mind, which makes it a challenging situation.”

Several songs from the film's soundtrack have been released, generating buzz among fans. Last year, the first teaser for Sikander was unveiled. In the one-minute and forty-one-second clip, Salman enters a room filled with weapons and individuals in samurai armor. He also stated, “I’ve heard that many people are after me. Just wait for me to turn around.”

The film, featuring Rashmika Mandanna, is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
