YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia recently found himself in controversy following his provocative comments on Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent, which quickly gained traction on social media. The backlash resulted in numerous complaints being lodged against both him and the program. In light of this situation, Bollywood director Imtiaz Ali and actor Manoj Bajpayee have shared their perspectives during an interview with Instant Bollywood.

When questioned about the controversy surrounding Ranveer Allahbadia’s statements, Imtiaz Ali described both Samay and Ranveer as ‘immature.’ He remarked, "The fame that comes through shortcuts is fleeting. I believe individuals should pursue what they find enjoyable, but obscenity is a topic that is inherently negative, and this is a sentiment shared by many. However, due to their immaturity, we should not take their errors too seriously."

Manoj Bajpayee concurred with Imtiaz Ali’s assessment, adding, "Therefore, those who are young and successful should take a moment to observe and comprehend their surroundings."

What Ranveer Allahbadia said

While serving as a judge on Samay Raina's India’s Got Latent, Ranveer posed a controversial question to a contestant: “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?” This comment provoked significant criticism.

He subsequently took to social media to deliver an apology through a video message, stating, “I regret my remarks made on India’s Got Latent. I apologize. My comment was inappropriate and lacked humor. Comedy is not my strength. I am here solely to express my regret. Many of you have questioned whether this is how I intend to utilize my platform, and clearly, this is not my intention. I will not provide any context, justification, or explanation regarding the incident. I am simply here to apologize.” Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police have arrived at his residence following numerous complaints, and an investigation is currently underway.
