Imran Khan on his divorce from Avantika Malik

Talking about his divorce from Avantika Malik, Imran Khan said he doesn't have a sense of shame and stigma around it. "It was, ultimately, a choice that I made, because I understood that we were in a place where we weren’t enabling and empowering each other to be the strongest and best versions of ourselves," stated Imran.

The actor revealed that a couple starts to get into patterns in long-term relationships and it may not be healthy. In Imran and Avantika's matter, they needed to take a difficult call for both of them to thrive. Imran added it wasn't easy but heartwrenching. "But ultimately, it has been instrumental in my becoming healthier, stronger. I don’t think there’s anything wrong in people changing the status of their relationship," added Khan.

After his divorce from Avantika, Imran is now in a relationship with Lekha Washington. The actor has been vocal about his new love affair. Khan was surprised when Lekha's Instagram post was considered as them making their relationship official. It is because Imran and Lekha's photos from Ira Khan (Aamir Khan's daughter) and Nupur Shikhare's wedding were already viral on social media.
