Imran Khan, the nephew of Aamir Khan, made his entry into Bollywood with the film Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na in 2008. He subsequently appeared in numerous Hindi films, including the 2010 romantic comedy I Hate Luv Storys, directed by Punit Malhotra, where he starred alongside Sonam Kapoor Ahuja. In a recent podcast appearance, Imran discussed how producer Karan Johar aimed to transform his public persona prior to the film's release.

Imran Khan on his image before I Hate Luv Storys

During his appearance on the Moments of Silence podcast, Imran Khan was presented with an old photoshoot in which Karan Johar sought to enhance his image to appear effortlessly attractive for I Hate Luv Storys. The actor remarked, "Karan essentially decided to elevate my image. Although I typically maintain a stable weight, I was particularly attentive to my diet and exercise regimen for this film. Karan expressed that we would capitalize on this, leading to several… somewhat topless photoshoots."

In 2010, Imran elaborated on Karan's specific vision for his appearance in Malhotra's I Hate Luv Storys. He explained that his character was portrayed as a 'womanizer,' which prompted KJo to desire a 'sexy edge' to his look. "He insisted that my clothing should fit in a particular manner, ensuring I embodied the essence of someone who is effortlessly sexy," Imran shared.

Imran Khan's work front

On the professional front, Imran Khan has been absent from the film industry for the past decade, with his last theatrical release being Katti Batti in 2015, where he starred alongside Kangana Ranaut. He stepped away from acting that same year but is now poised for a much-anticipated return to cinema. Although he has yet to announce his new project, reports suggest that he will feature in a Netflix film directed by Danish Khan.

Imran's filmography includes notable Hindi films such as Delhi Belly, Mere Brother Ki Dulhann, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, Break Ke Baad, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara, Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, Luck, Kidnap, among others.
