Actor Imran Khan recently opened up about the experience of hosting an award show alongside Ranbir Kapoor, and he admitted it was pretty nerve-wracking. In a lighthearted confession, Imran shared that he and Ranbir had a unique method to ease their nerves – they opted for some pricey vodka.

Imran chatted with the Moments of Silence podcast and revealed that Ranbir came through with some fancy vodka, which really helped him chill out.

“To be honest, the awards night was super nerve-wracking since I had just joined the industry less than a year ago, and I knew big names like Mr. (Amitabh) Bachchan would be right in front of me. It was pretty intimidating. After the dress rehearsal, Ranbir showed up with some pricey vodka. Whenever we had a break from the stage, we’d take a few sips before heading back out. It definitely helped ease our nerves,” Imran shared.

He co-hosted the Filmfare awards with Ranbir back in 2009. Imran also reminisced about strutting down the runway with Ranbir for a fashion show organized by Karan Johar. He admitted, “I’ve never really felt at ease with stage performances or ramp walks. Real models have this amazing presence and confidence, while I’m just focused on not tripping over my own feet. It was pretty stressful.”

Imran Khan is gearing up for a return

Imran is thinking about returning to acting and is checking out different projects to see what fits. In a recent interview, he mentioned that there was a spy series in development with Disney+ Hotstar, but it ended up getting scrapped. The series was being directed by Abbas Tyrewala, but it was dropped after Hotstar was taken over by Jio. The last time we saw Imran on screen was in Katti Batti alongside Kangana Ranaut back in 2015, and he’s been away from films ever since.
