Actor Imran Khan has openly discussed his divorce from Avantika Malik. The couple tied the knot in 2011 but separated in 2019. In a recent interview with Filmfare, Imran reflected on how he married at a very young age and how they struggled to support one another over the years.

What Imran shared

In the conversation, Imran revealed insights about his relationship with Avantika, stating, “I got into this relationship when I was really young. I was just 19, and I approached it with all the good intentions. However, with long-term relationships that start at such a young age, many of the dynamics and patterns are influenced by how you were as a teenager. As we grew older, I feel like we didn’t evolve enough, and in some ways, we weren’t able to support or empower each other to become the healthiest versions of ourselves.”

Building a connection with my daughter Imara

Imran's daughter, Imara Malik Khan, was born on June 9, 2014. In a recent interview, Imran shared insights about his relationship with Imara, stating, “We’ve built a really close and open bond, which is something I’ve always wanted to nurture. I aim to provide her with comfort and security, so she knows I’m always there for her. I also want her to feel free to talk to me without worrying about being judged.”

Currently, Imran is in a relationship with Lekha Washington. They reportedly met through mutual friends and began dating in 2020.

Imran Khan made his acting debut in 2008 with Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na, starring alongside Genelia D'Souza. His most recent film was Katti Batti, released in 2015. A few months back, he mentioned that he was working on a comeback in a spy series for Disney+ Hotstar, but unfortunately, that project has been shelved.
