Actor John Abraham is enjoying the success of his recent film, The Diplomat. Despite a limited promotional campaign and minimal pre-release excitement, the film has achieved a respectable box office performance since its debut on March 14. In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the actor expressed his deep concerns regarding the Hindi film industry and the quality of films currently being produced.

What John said about Bollywood

In the course of the discussion, when John was inquired about the present condition of content generated in Bollywood and the heightened scrutiny from social media regarding its quality, he expressed, “It is quite alarming. As an observer of the Hindi film industry, I have significant concerns. I do not claim to be a leader in pursuing change, but I acknowledge that there are a handful of us who aspire to make an impact.”

He stated, "I consider myself a commercial hero! Place me in a commercial environment, and I am confident I will succeed. However, I believe that in order to create meaningful change, we must be granted the freedom to pursue our vision. If we can secure that crucial funding to realize our ambitions, our industry has the potential to thrive. We are currently producing quality films, and while it seems that there are daily critiques of our industry, we are indeed creating noteworthy cinema."
